Job Summary

Client Financial Requirements Solutioning & DesignLead discovery sessions with client Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Tax, and other stakeholders to gather and document financial requirements for new MSP/VMS implementations. Design the end-to-end financial operating model including time and expense processing, rate and markup structures, purchase orders and funding, cost allocation, client invoicing, supplier invoicing/payment, MSP/VMS fees, credits and adjustments, accruals, tax, currency, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Serve as the Finance SME responsible for translating client requirements into scalable MSP/VMS financial solutions and adopting Pinnacle best practices where appropriate. 

VMS Financial Configuration & Systems Integration – Translate financial and commercial requirements into VMS configuration requirements and functional specifications. Partner with VMS, Technology, and client teams to design and validate financial workflows, rate structures, markups, fees, taxes, accounting dimensions, invoice formats, and payment terms. Define and support integrations between the VMS and client/Pinnacle ERP, AP, procurement, timekeeping, and financial reporting systems. 

Financial Testing, Reconciliation & Implementation Readiness – Own the Finance workstream for system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and end-to-end financial testing. Develop and execute test scenarios covering time and expense, rates, markups, fees, invoicing, supplier payments, credits, adjustments, and financial exceptions. Validate transactions from approved time/expense through client invoice, supplier payment, and ERP/financial reconciliation. Ensure financial defects and reconciliation issues are resolved prior to production launch 

Design of Steady-State Financial Operations & Handover – Design future-state AR, AP, billing, reconciliation, reporting, and financial exception-management processes utilizing Pinnacle best practices. Develop SOPs, controls, roles and responsibilities, escalation procedures, and financial KPIs. Ensure Finance and Operations team members are appropriately trained and prepared for go-live. Lead financial cutover, initial billing-cycle validation, and post-go-live hypercare, and ensure a successful transition from implementation to the steady-state Finance and MSP Operations teams. 

Financial Solution Governance & Controls – Ensure the implemented financial solution aligns with client contracts, supplier agreements, Pinnacle commercial requirements, and established financial controls. Identify financial risks, process gaps, and downstream impacts throughout implementation and drive resolution. Establish controls for invoice accuracy, billing timeliness, reconciliation, aging, supplier payments, and financial exceptions. 

Technology Footprint – Develop strong functional knowledge of Pinnacle's financial technology ecosystem and leading VMS platforms. Understand system capabilities and dependencies across VMS, ERP, AP, procurement, timekeeping, invoicing, and reporting platforms and apply this knowledge when designing client financial solutions. 

Project & Stakeholder Management – Manage Finance workstream milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and readiness activities. Represent Finance in client implementation meetings and design workshops and coordinate activities across Client Finance/AP, Procurement, Pinnacle Finance, MSP Operations, Technology, VMS partners, suppliers, and implementation teams. Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MSP, VMS, contingent workforce, staffing, workforce solutions, or related financial implementation environments, with demonstrated experience designing and implementing financial processes for complex programs 
  • Strong understanding of the contingent workforce financial lifecycle, including time and expense, rate cards, markups, MSP/VMS fees, purchase orders, client invoicing, supplier payments, credits/adjustments, accruals, and reconciliation. 
  • 3+ years of experience leading financial systems implementations, solution design, requirements gathering, testing/UAT, integrations, and go-live activities. 
  • Experience with leading VMS platforms such as SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, Workday VNDLY, or similar platforms strongly preferred. 
  • Experience integrating VMS solutions with ERP, AP, procurement, and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant MSP/VMS industry experience. 

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced; deadline driven environment – can be long hours on projects when needed – general expectation is 40 to 50 hrs per week 
  • High-performance expectation environment where processes/technology are rapidly changing/upgrading 
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
