The Named Credit Account Executive will engage potential lenders, manage the sales process, and align Plaid's solutions with customer goals, leveraging deep product knowledge.

The Credit team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on helping both upcoming and well-established lenders take their growth to the next level. Our thesis is that every lender can benefit from leveraging a bespoke Plaid solution, focused on helping them achieve their unique goals and objectives, including approving more borrowers and reducing overall portfolio risk through Plaid’s innovative credit solutions. In this role, you'll be the individual helping us achieve this vision.
Your focus will be on engaging a curated list of lenders that don't currently work with Plaid, identifying opportunities to partner, and owning the end-to-end sales process. Additionally, you’ll be working with Plaid's existing lending customers, deeply understanding their business, and aligning our solutions to help them achieve both near and long-term goals. This role will work across all segments at Plaid to partner with the segment Account Executives to accomplish these goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for Plaid solutions to deliver value, with both prospective high-growth and existing lending customers.
- Develop a book of high-potential engaged prospects and maintain a sufficient pipeline to support successful attainment against quota.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle and coordinate efforts from sales engineers, product specialists, and other team members throughout the sales process.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and drive initiatives across Plaid to support a consultative sales motion.
- Manage pipeline and accurately forecast deal value and win probability.
- Develop a deep understanding of Plaid solutions and apply this knowledge by identifying how each customer can leverage our technology to achieve their unique goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7+ years in a quota-carrying direct sales role, with a strong track record of attainment.
- Excellent prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a customer-centric mindset
- Working knowledge of APIs and a desire to understand how Plaid works 'under the hood'
- Professional yet relaxed communication style, with the ability to break-down complex concepts and explain them in simple terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization, without being perceived as ‘salesy’.
