Summary:

The National Account Manager for the Managed Network Services group under Vector Security Networks is responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and achieving new sales objectives in an established or novel region/territory by creating and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities through self-generated activities that is sufficient to consistently meet new sales objectives. The National Account Manager will accomplish this by developing and delivering impactful presentations of the company value proposition, identifying trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets. The National Account Manager will also provide feedback to company on appetite for company’s products and services in the market as well as new products and services opportunities. Work in concert with integrated sales and marketing initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Prospecting, discovery, and qualifying new opportunities that lead to a pipeline of 4X plus of new business objectives on an ongoing basis.

  • Effectively presenting the company value proposition.

  • Collaborating with internal business partners and resources.

  • Effectively onboarding new customers and growing share of wallet.

  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.

  • Participate in relevant industry events, trade shows, networking opportunities, and other duties as required.

What You'll Need:

  • Education & Experience: 
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years enterprise sales experience. 
    • Must have experience successfully selling Managed Network Services in the Network Infrastructure space. 
    • Must have an understanding of how to conduct business effectively at an elevated C-level.

    • Professional hard and soft skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage, develop, and motivate all members of account teams.

  • Communication Skills: 
    • Business development managers must be able to communicate with clients of all backgrounds and educational levels.

    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are must-haves for professionals who work in this field.

  • `Organizational Skills: 
    • Professionals who choose this career path must be comfortable juggling numerous clients, on- and off-site meetings, and deadlines.

    • Individuals who are highly organized are best equipped to manage the many parts of the job and keep client proposals and other tasks on track.

  • Time-Management Skills: 
    • Business development managers must understand how to prioritize their time.

    • Individuals who work in this field must be comfortable managing a calendar and adjusting their schedule as needed.

  • Drive & Self-Motivation:
    • The most successful business development managers are goal-oriented and commission-driven.
    • Professionals who have the "drive" and motivation will push themselves to succeed.
