Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is seeking a National Accounts Manager – On Premise, Central Region (NAM) who possesses the below. This is a remote position in the state of Texas.

Position is responsible for the sales and marketing performance of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits (DFWS) brands in targeted national and emerging regional chains within a defined, multi-state, dedicated regional territory.  The NAM is responsible for developing DFWS business across the on-premise segments of casual, polished and fine dining, and eatertainment. The NAM must regularly collaborate with DFWS General Managers, Regional Managers, and our distributor partners National Account VP’s and Directors to penetrate targeted accounts and ensure proper alignment of current brand priorities, depletion and profit goals.  The NAM is responsible for continuous account development and profitable growth within the guidelines of brand and organizational strategy while sharing best practices and execution of basic category management principles with top on premise operators. This position reports to the Vice President, NAOP.       

Responsibilities:

  • Penetrate targeted National Accounts by developing a Central Region Account plan that increases DFWS BTG/BTB menu placements and creates customized LTO programs that drive trial, velocity and build awareness
  • Develop and apply category management strategies and principles that align with specific brand priorities and the accounts strategic initiatives
  • Prioritize the largest opportunity segments and accounts, identify the key levers for future growth, and develop an annual tactical plan that drives incremental volume and profit through:
    • Increased distribution and improved promotional effectiveness or other volume generating tactics
  • Develop high-level customer relationships with targeted accounts
    • Ensure proper alignment and synergy of DFWS brand strategy with key customer objectives
    • Develop and implement tactics that grow DFWS business at a faster rate than national Nielsen CGA metrics
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless implementation of all newly launched National programming
    • Ability to create and influence customized programming that supports NAOP sales efforts with DFWS Brand Marketing teams
    • Penetrate and leverage key distributor national account resources to drive DFWS account-specific priorities
    • Drive compliance of all mandated and optional programming through DFWS distributor and DFWS direct sales team ensuring we meet and/or exceed our minimum company standards
  • Work with BI and monitor the on-premise environment and be the expert on trends and new developments as it relates to targeted accounts, channel strategies, and innovative ways of working and selling in our ideas
  • Meet quarterly with FP&A to manage the respective NAOP Region budget to ensure appropriate allocation of resources against targeted NAOP Customers
  • Fact-based selling and account planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have experience in the alcohol beverage industry
  • 5 – 7+ years calling on On-Premise multi-unit operators, preferably national on-premise chains
  • National chain buyer relationships highly preferred
  • Brand building and promotional ideation skills highly preferred
  • Proven experience leading and working with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong fact-based selling, presentation, and negotiating skills
  • Experience managing inventory and allocation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel 30% + of your time
