The Mission
We are seeking an exceptional Architect to join our growing Cloud Architecture & Engineering team. The right candidate is someone who has deep expertise in cloud architecture and is passionate about working with our customers, partners, and colleagues to drive innovation forward.
Your mission will be to work alongside Caylent’s Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Project Managers to deliver AWS solutions across our diverse and forward-thinking customer base. You’ll work with the latest technologies and support customers looking to bring cutting-edge ideas to market
Your Assignment
- Be a thought leader in crafting solutions, reference architectures and best practices for large-scale enterprise clients with a history of on-premises to cloud infrastructure evolution.
- Engage in a highly collaborative team environment where your expertise is required to propose solutions, laying the foundations for cloud architecture, scaling, development opportunities, cost savings, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design, develop, and integrate complex DevOps pipelines, including build automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Kick off new client engagements and drive long-range plans with clients to adopt cloud best practices.
- Take on work already in line with projects and deliverables while researching new project opportunities (R&D).
- Ensure high quality of project delivery.
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a Network Architect for enterprise organizations in a consulting capacity.
- Deep experience supporting large-scale enterprise clients with complex on-premise to cloud migration journeys.
- Ability to communicate technical objectives and solutions clearly to clients while establishing and cultivating a professional relationship.
- Strong expertise in building and operating networks and using the following technologies: AWS Cloud WAN, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect Gateway, MPLS, BGP, Site-to-Site VPN, IPAM, and CDN.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including IP address allocation design at scale, DNS architecture at scale, and network proxy technologies such as NGINX and AWS VPC Lattice.
- Familiarity with modern firewalls e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortigate.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS environments, including serverless architectures.
- Experience designing and implementing inter- and intra-region high availability solutions.
- Experience implementing IaC in AWS (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Pulumi).
- Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking about business, products, and technical challenges when presenting to stakeholders.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and the ability to be cross-functional.
- A natural curiosity and excitement for learning new technology.

Base Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $157,500 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Additional Compensation Components: In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives. The specific components will vary depending on the role, the individual, and/or the company's performance.
This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
