The Network Engineer II will oversee network security, resolve issues, manage data center operations, and lead technical efforts during outages.

WHO WE NEED:
The ideal candidate will be a technologist who is comfortable balancing cloud-based services with on-premises solutions. We prefer to share how success is achieved rather than providing an ambiguous list of duties.
Qualifications:
- Have 3+ years of experience in public cloud and Network administration
- Preferred candidates will have an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems, and/or an Advanced Degree
- Strong knowledge of networking particularly Switching with Cisco/Cisco Meraki
- Proficiency in Azure infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, AD, ENTRA ID, vNet, FrontDoor, Private Endpoint, Traffic Manager, Network Security Group, and similar technologies in AWS
- Expert knowledge of SIEM and SOAR, Certificate management, Zero Trust Framework, Identity Providers, ACL, and Defender for Cloud
- Expert knowledge of IDS and IPS systems, Network monitoring tools, and advanced proxy
- Possess great oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in PowerShell or a similar scripting language, SQL, and automation platform such as Tray.io or Workato
- Proficiency in using AI as a Thought Partner
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee network security and access control. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network-related needs and challenges. Analyze and resolve complex network and security issues.
- Provide innovative solutions to networking needs and be a subject matter expert in the IT department
- Assess and implement cybersecurity measures; manage ongoing maintenance of network security systems.
- Research and recommend technology to support network capacity planning towards future hardware, software and service acquisition and maintain acceptable service levels.
- Manage technical operations and maintenance of the data center. Monitor connectivity - LAN & WAN, security, other infrastructure
- Plan, organize and document complex system design activities and configure systems to be consistent with policies/procedures
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware and software, including firmware patching schedules and hardware refresh cycles for on-premises equipment.
- Act as a technical lead during major network outages, coordinate communication and resolution efforts.
