Job Description

Job Desc: 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the agency’s communications systems

• Install, configure, test, upgrade, and maintain communications systems equipment and software

• Direct the implementation of modifications to agency’s communications systems

• Manage and administer Call Manager servers, including planning and coordinating application upgrades and maintenance activities

• Maintain quality of service (QOS) controls to support voice over IP/frame relay/ATM

• Configure telephony applications such as CVP, ICM, IP communicator, interactive voice response along with other call-center centric software packages

• Monitors the communications systems environment and takes corrective measures to ensure efficient and resilient performance. Review systems vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices

• Coordinate immediate corrective action to communications systems known to have any security weaknesses or vulnerabilities, including installing appropriate patches or upgrades

• Configure, monitor and maintain communications systems monitoring and performance measuring systems

• Troubleshoot complex systems problems related to communications systems infrastructure

• Use network sniffer and other diagnostic devices to analyze and troubleshoot communications systems problems

• Cross train team members in IP telephony concepts and practices.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Must be able to work independently in a diverse team environment with local and remote teams 

• Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary

• Perform related work as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager

• Experience with Cisco Unity/Unity Connect

• Experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE/CVP)

• Experience with Cisco routing and switching 

• Experience with the administration of Windows and Linux based servers and workstations

• Working knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), H.323 protocols

• Experience with Studio VXML applications and Customer Voice Portal (CVP) scripting

• Experience with Network and VoIP performance monitoring and capacity management

• Experience in developing and implementing modifications to Agency-wide Automatic Call Distributions (ACD)

• Experience in developing ICM routing scripts and Studio VXML applications for ACD’s

• Experience in configuring telephony applications such as interactive voice response (IVR)

• Extensive experience integrating VoIP Applications and Systems with complex security requirements

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration certification (current)
