Location: Austin, TX  (100% Onsite, Monday–Friday)
Contract Duration: 6 Months

Description

The Places Team is seeking an experienced, proactive Workplace Operations Consultant for a
6-month contract to support and optimize the physical operations of our regional hub. In this
project-based consulting role, you will be a key operational driver for maintaining a smooth,
welcoming, and highly functional workspace.

As a dedicated partner, you will focus on executing local vendor services, refining site
processes, and supporting physical event setups. In this capacity, you will operate as a
collaborative, peer-level partner alongside our existing onsite Places team members and
interface with cross-functional departments—such as IT, physical security, and legal—to
support local compliance, safety drills, and emergency preparedness.

Core Responsibilities

1. Janitorial & Porter Services Coordination

Vendor Accountability & Daily Site Readiness: Serve as the primary onsite point of
contact for external cleaning and porter service vendors, coordinating daily walkthroughs
to ensure conference rooms, common areas, and community zones meet established
quality and cleanliness standards.

SLA Tracking: Monitor janitorial service deliverables against vendor service level
agreements (SLAs) and escalate service gaps to the Regional Manager.

2. Workplace Process Improvements

Operational Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for
day-to-day local workplace operations to ensure operational consistency and business
continuity.

Workflow Efficiency: Assess and streamline site operational workflows, optimizing local
ticketing procedures (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and inventory management to improve
overall efficiency.

AI Process Integration: Leverage AI tools and automation solutions to optimize daily
administrative workflows, streamline ticketing processes, and accelerate documentation
drafting.

Space Optimization: Continually assess and optimize local space utilization to support
hybrid work dynamics, seating configurations, and future workplace planning.
? Metrics & Reporting: Expand on existing workplace metrics, tracking and reporting on
facilities ticket-resolution times, occupancy data, and service deliverables to support
data-driven decision-making.

3. Onsite Event Coordination

Local Event Logistics: Provide end-to-end operational support for onsite events, team
onsite, executive visits, and cultural moments.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner directly with the Global Events & Experiences team
and designated local event Points of Contact (POCs) to handle seating configurations,
catering setups, building access, and physical requirements for office gatherings.
Requirements

Professional Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in facilities coordination,
corporate operations, or premium hospitality services, preferably within a fast-paced
corporate environment.

Vendor & Project Skills: Strong background in coordinating external vendor services
(specifically janitorial, facilities, or catering) and managing deliverables.

Process Mindset: Proven ability to analyze physical operational setups, identify
inefficiencies, and execute practical process improvements.

Collaboration Style: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track
record of working effectively as a collaborative partner in peer-level team environments.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Google Workspace, workplace ticketing
systems, event coordination tools, and modern AI productivity utilities.
