Responsibilities
- Identify and characterize new yield issues by tracking probe yields and trends, and explain gaps between target and actual yields.
- Perform advanced data analysis and characterization to quantify issues, generating an accurate yield pareto to guide the fab on issues limiting yield.
- Use statistical tools and data-mining techniques to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Visualize the analyzed data in a clear and conclusive manner, in order to drive actionable solutions.
- Work closely with the Failure Analysis (FA) team, including Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) and Physical Failure Analysis (PFA). Correlate electrical signals with probe signatures and data-mining insights. Deliver a comprehensive view to process teams for effective issue resolution.
- Partner with module and inline monitoring teams to ensure timely implementation and monitoring of yield fixes, providing clear handoffs and alignment to drive balanced improvements.
- Apply semiconductor process knowledge, defect inspection, metrology, and process control fundamentals.
- Perform on-duty work during weekends or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant Math / Science / Engineering field or proven equivalent experience.
- Proficient in English as the main language for reporting and documentation.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor processing.
- The ability to continuously learn and self-improve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physical Science (Physics), Atmospheric Science, Math/Statistics, or Computer Science.
- 2-4 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering, process engineering, or related electronics industries.
- Knowledge in CMOS operation and understanding on memory cell operation, probe testing.
- Practical experience in automation, machine learning, or computer-based analysis for yield or manufacturing applications.
- Programming skills, including SQL, Python, and R.
- Statistical and Analytics Software, including JMP and Tableau.
