Do you love process? Vocal is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our growing team. In this role, you’ll manage key administrative and contract processes across contractor and client relationships, help maintain accurate documentation and payment records, and contribute to internal systems that keep our work running smoothly. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
This is a full-time position through November 2026, with the opportunity for extension.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle for contractors and client agreements, including renewals, terminations, and documentation
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain standard contracts, supporting revisions and redlines as needed
- Prepare and maintain accurate contractor payment records and related documentation, as well as answer questions as needed
- Support cross-functional teams with contract administration and operational processes
- Contribute to internal systems organization and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with data management, migration, and documentation to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional experience (or strong volunteer experience) in operations, project management, compliance, or organizational systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to follow-through and accountability
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Highly organized, self-sufficient, and proactive in solving problems
- Familiarity with Notion, Google Drive, and Airtable is a plus; willingness to learn new tools is required
- A sense of humor, humility, and a collaborative team-first attitude
- Passion for progressive political issues and a desire to contribute to mission-driven work
