ABOUT THE ROLE  

As an Operations Engineer, you will manage the infrastructure that supports Boostlingo’s EHR integrations and healthcare-adjacent systems. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure our infrastructure is: 

  • Managed entirely as code 
  • Secure and auditable 
  • Observable and predictable 
  • Designed for regulated healthcare use cases 

This role requires a strong operational mindset and experience running infrastructure where stability matters more than novelty. 

  

WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THIS ROLE: 

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) 
  • Own infrastructure supporting EHR integrations and healthcare data exchange workflows 
  • Manage AWS infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, and connectivity services 
  • Build and maintain Docker-based workloads, including image lifecycle management and security patching 
  • Design and operate secure network architectures (VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, routing, DNS) 
  • Implement and maintain observability platforms (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, ThousandEyes) 
  • Define meaningful alerts, dashboards, and monitoring strategies for infrastructure health 
  • Apply least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and access controls 
  • Support HIPAA, SOC2, and healthcare compliance efforts, including audits and remediation 
  • Participate in infrastructure-related incident response and root-cause analysis 
  • Improve operational reliability through standardization, automation, and documentation 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams while maintaining clear ownership of infrastructure concerns

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, systems, or operations engineering 
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform 
  • Solid experience with Docker and containerized workloads 
  • Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure and networking, including: 
    • VPC architecture 
    • VPNs and private connectivity 
    • Load balancers (ALB/NLB) 
    • DNS and routing 
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as: 
    • New Relic 
    • Datadog 
    • ThousandEyes or equivalent synthetic monitoring tools 
  • Experience operating infrastructure in regulated or security-sensitive environments 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to clearly explain infrastructure decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • A pragmatic, operations-first mindset with a bias toward reliability and correctness  

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Direct experience supporting EHR integrations or healthcare platforms 
  • Familiarity with HL7 or healthcare messaging workflows 
  • Experience with GitOps-style infrastructure workflows 
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible 
  • Exposure to multi-account AWS environments 
  • Experience participating in audits or compliance reviews (HIPAA, SOC2)
