Job Title: Operations Reporting Associate

Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 per hour plus 6% discretionary bonus

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Department: Finance
Reports To: Operations Reporting Manager
Job Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm CST (Monday-Friday)

Job Purpose:

The Operations Reporting Associate is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the production of Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA) compliant reports for municipal and institutional clients, including cities and school districts. This individual works closely with the Operations Reporting Team to ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant reporting deliverables. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a foundation in financial operations and regulatory reporting within the retirement and private wealth industry.

Key Responsibilities:

PFIA Reporting:
  • Prepare and distribute Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA) compliant reports for cities, school districts, and other public fund clients on a scheduled basis
  • Ensure all reports meet applicable state and regulatory requirements under the Texas Public Funds Investment Act or applicable jurisdiction
  • Maintain organized records of all reports distributed to public fund clients, including distribution logs and client acknowledgment tracking
  • Support updates to report templates as regulatory requirements or client needs change
Operational Support:
  • Assist the Operations Reporting Specialist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks and deliverables
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities related to reporting functions
  • Perform basic data entry and validation to ensure accuracy of reporting inputs
  • Research and resolve minor data discrepancies under the guidance of the Specialist
  • Assist with reconciliation support tasks as needed
Professional Development:
  • Develop a working knowledge of PFIA requirements and public fund reporting standards
  • Build familiarity with third-party administration and recordkeeping operations over time
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and seek opportunities to expand skill set in support of team goals
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 0–1 years of experience in accounting, finance, operations, or a related field; internship experience considered
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills required (familiarity with formulas, data formatting, and basic lookups)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Must have some flexibility of work hours during peak periods, including month-end close and reporting cycles
