About the Team:

The Mainframe Automations and Monitoring team is responsible for all Mainframe automation packages, and system health and availability monitoring. FIS standard automation packages are SA for ZOS, OPSMVS, and Omegamon.  The support is across multiple physical mainframe locations consisting of many LPARs in various configurations, which include stand-alone and parallel sysplex environments.  We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is anxious to step in and contribute while expanding your technical knowledge and skills.

Job Description:

Operations Software Analyst Senior/Omegamon Administrator…you will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the OMEGAMON monitoring products on z/OS. This includes ensuring that the monitoring agents are installed correctly on the z/OS LPARs and that the system is configured to provide comprehensive usage information for Sysplex-level resources. The administrator also manages the administration, customization, and management of the E3270UI session, tailoring it for individual users. Additionally, the administrator is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise with OMEGAMON.

8-10 years’ experience in Mainframe Omegamon administration

  • Support of other strategic data centers, regardless of physical location of employees
  • Omegamon installation (not SMP/E).
  • Omegamon E3270UI, but classic knowledge is needed.
  • Omegamon RACF/ACF2/TopSecret exits and rules
  • Omegamon training for others
  • E3270UI maintenance (Workspaces, SQL, SQL tables, Rexx execs, HTML, Thresholds, Situations, etc.)
  • Self-Starter
  • JCL knowledge
  • TSO
  • ISPF
  • z/OS familiarity
  • JES2 basics
  • SDSF basics
  • SA for Z/OS basics
  • CICS basics
  • DB2 basics
  • MQ basics
  • VTAM basics
  • TN3270 emulators familiarity
  • PC basics, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including vocabulary and style which permits the conveyance of technical information clearly, concisely and unambiguously.
  • Be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences in a group presentation setting.
  • Have a demeanor and communications style which is commensurate with client facing communications.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks - completing those tasks within the given timeframe
  • Be able to function as a team member in a multi-group, multi-team member environment
  • Be able to use Microsoft PC products like MS-Word and MS-EXCEL
  • Be able to perform the functions listed in job description
  • Be able to use TSO/ISPF sufficiently
  • Be knowledgeable in using SMP/e
  • Be able to work independently with only administrative supervision on highly complex projects with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
  • Develop, document and implement standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures for staff.

Education:

College Degree or equivalent work experience.

Current and future sponsorship are not available for this position

Experience:

8-10 years working in the administration of Omegamon, knowledge of SA for ZOS or OPSMVS automation packages are a plus.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $96,120.00 - $161,490.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
