What Your Days Will Be Like: 

Care@Work (“C@W”), Care.com’s fastest-growing business unit, provides family care benefits for employers. Our products enable employees to manage all their family care needs, so they can focus on doing incredible things at work. The Operations (“Ops”) team within Care@Work is the backbone of our B2B business – ensuring that we’re delivering a best-in-class experience for our clients and scaling our network to keep up with fast-growing demand. 

We are looking for motivated people that are interested in working from home as a Backup Care Specialist with an initial focus on supporting our Reimbursement team. The Backup Care program provides last-minute childcare to families when their regular childcare falls through. The Backup Care Specialists match families with pre-screened caregivers as well as help to process and verify reimbursements for Backup Care services. The ideal candidates work well in fast-paced environments.

  • The position is part-time & remotely based.
  • We will provide you with a laptop for work purposes.
  • Training will be required, and applicants should plan on 4 half days of training that will be a set daily time. Additional Backup Care training will be provided at a later date(s) TBD.

**Scheduling is 25 set hours per week, Monday – Friday, with occasional ability to pick up additional hours of work.  Please Note: Scheduled hours per week can fluctuate based on business needs and are not guaranteed.**

What You'll Be Working On: 

  • Research, review, and help families with their backup care and reimbursement requests
  • Collaborate with other backup care agents to maintain the high-quality service level agreement for all cases
  • Answer and make calls, emails, and voicemails from clients, potential clients, agencies, centers, and caregivers
  • Review reimbursements for accuracy and make processing decisions regarding such
  • Document and track all customer contacts using company platform in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators such as quality, efficiency, productivity, and schedule compliance
  • Maintain an understanding of Care@Work products and services, procedures, and policies

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

  • 2+ years of experience helping others within either a professional environment, customer service, call center, or similar environments.
  • Previous childcare experience preferred (i.e. nanny, teacher, babysitter)
  • Ability to embody Care.com's mission/values in working with team members
  • Easily adapts to changing workflow requirements as well as able to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Demonstrates great attention to detail, problem solve and prioritize as needed
  • Able to work well independently as well as on a team
  • A separate space within your living quarters where you are able to focus on daily tasks without interruption
  • Strong computer skills as well as internet and Microsoft Office experience; Salesforce experience a plus
