Position Description:

We have been growing rapidly with our 100% online business for almost three years - and now we're taking the leap into physical retail. We're looking for an experienced, talented, and entrepreneurial Director of Retail to create and lead our retail function, which will include opening our first stores and crafting our long-term strategy.

Responsibilities will be extensive and all-encompassing for the retail strategy, experience, and operations - including but not limited to:

• Opening 3+ flagship Tecovas retail stores in the first 12 months
• Hiring and managing store-level management talent and retail employees
• Crafting and leading our store operations strategy, including inventory, scheduling, customer operations, and cost management
• Creating an omnichannel experience from scratch, including but not limited to in-store POS (currently on Shopify), a BOPIS program, same-day delivery, returns & exchange management, and any/all other projects related to store commerce
• Partnering with the Founder/CEO to create an unparalleled retail customer experience, from store design to in-store experience to post-checkout processes
• Managing all pre- and post-store opening relevant parties, including architects, project managers, contractors, and store management
• Creating our 3-5 year retail vision to ensure Tecovas remains a category leader in western

Qualifications:

The ideal Director of Retail is an entrepreneurial force of nature, with relevant and recent experience opening stores in a fast-paced, high-growth brand environment. Specific desired qualifications include:

• BA/BS degree
• 5-10+ years of retail operations experience, including both store openings (3-10+) and multi-store management
• Independent, 'no task too small' attitude in all aspects of everyday work
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Utmost character, honesty, and transparency
• Ability and network to find, recruit, and manage top-tier store-level talent
• Keen eye for design and physical store experience
