Title: Performance Improvement Specialist
Shift: Full-time
Hours: Normally 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
Location: Based out of Ascension Texas Administrative Offices, partially remote

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical background, RN
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Master's Degree in related field is best fit.
  • Certifications: Quality, Lean, Project Management certifications preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in Quality or Performance Improvement
  • Healthcare experience


What You Will Do
Facilitate with the development and definition of ideas that will improve the organization.

  • Leads performance improvement program activities through each phase of discovery, design, implementation, monitoring and sustainability.
  • Studies work to design and develop standard processes and reduce waste in clinical and non-clinical areas, and solves moderate to highly complex problems using an evidence-based approach. Develops both process and outcome measures.
  • Manages portfolio of projects at high complexity and volume, works with executive and working owners. Consistently meets or exceeds project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Applies and teaches improvement science methodologies, LEAN tools and management system, project management, and change management as required by team project, including process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical analysis and stakeholder analysis and mitigation and communication plans.
  • Evaluate departments and services in an effort to define best practices and encourage positive and progressive change. Remain current on healthcare trends and advances.
  • Define financial, operational, and clinical data necessary for evaluating change initiatives. Identify steps, tools, and training necessary to implement a process or structural change.
  • Oversee functioning of assigned projects/project teams and for collaborating with executive leadership to access necessary resources. Manage resources, process and quality assurance of projects within scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and update the ongoing management plan. Monitor and ensure that detailed project plans, reporting mechanisms, issue resolution processes, and communications are timely and meet quality guidelines.


What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt. preferred.
  • Project Mgmt Professional preferred.
  • Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing preferred.


Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required


Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.
