About Rapid7

Rapid7 (Nasdaq: RPD) is advancing security with visibility, analytics, and automation delivered through our Insight cloud. Our solutions simplify the complex, allowing security teams to work more effectively with IT and development to reduce vulnerabilities, monitor for malicious behavior, investigate and shut down attacks, and automate routine tasks. For more information, visit our website, check out our blog, or follow us on LinkedIn.

The opportunity

Rapid7’s Detection & Response customer practice is focused on attaining and sustaining recognition as a technology, market, and customer satisfaction leader in detection and response solutions. Rapid7 InsightIDR identifies unauthorized access from external and internal threats and highlights suspicious activity so our customers don’t have to weed through thousands of data streams. InsightIDR is differentiated as a cloud-native Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) offering and has been recognized as a Leader in Gartner’s 2020 Magic Quadrant for SIEM. Forrester forecasts the SIEM market will reach $6.1B by 2024. At the same time, Rapid7 is pivoting InsightIDR to simplify incident response and build targeted, high-efficacy detections in the nascent and rapidly growing Extended Detection and Response (XDR) market.

Rapid7 MDR is a managed detection and response offering that’s been recognized by Forrester, Gartner, and IDC as best-in-class for MDR. By partnering with Rapid7, you get experts to extend your team and capabilities, mature your security strategy, reduce your overall risk, and respond to attacks from across your modern environment--from endpoints to users, your network, and the cloud. Rapid7 MDR can improve your cyber resilience and scale your SecOps with 24x7 continuous coverage and a team of specialists you can trust.

The role

Rapid7 is looking for a passionate, energetic, and proven senior security leader to join our growing Detection & Response customer practice. The role will leverage your hands-on experience in building and running successful security operations teams to:

  • Partner with Rapid7 executive, sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams in the management of the Rapid7 strategy and programs to help customers improve their security programs and security outcomes

  • Develop and continuously update Rapid7’s recommended cybersecurity strategies that leverage Rapid7 technologies, services, and threat information for improved security outcomes

  • Create engaging content at a consistent cadence, effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical audiences, including preparing blogs, bylined articles, technical content, demos, vlogs, videos, podcasts, and more to position Rapid7, InsightIDR, and MDR as a thought leader

  • Speak at virtual and in-person industry and Rapid7 events in support of demand generation and thought leadership
