The Optoelectronics Test Capability Engineer will enhance product validation processes, support testing, analyze data, and mentor junior engineers.
As a Optoelectronic Test Capability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our optoelectronics product validation processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting pluggable and Trosa DVTr/Reliability testing, as well as implementing TROSA Bonepile reduction testing strategies. Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL and JMP is essential, along with a solid understanding of optical communication and electrical/optical test fundamentals. Familiarity with optical and electrical test equipment and experience with vb.net are highly advantageous.
Responsibilities- Support pluggable and Trosa DVTr/Reliability testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Implement TROSA Bonepile reduction testing to optimize resource utilization.
- Utilize SQL and JMP for advanced data analysis, reporting, and test result interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test capabilities and share best practices.
- Document and maintain comprehensive test procedures and results for future reference.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical and electrical test equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in optoelectronics to incorporate innovative testing techniques.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with optical communication standards and protocols throughout the testing process.
- Must have skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in optoelectronics product validation and testing, with a focus on optical communication.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly SQL and JMP, for efficient data handling and interpretation.
- Strong understanding of optical communication principles and electrical/optical test fundamentals, ensuring accurate test execution.
- Familiarity with optical and electrical test equipment, including their calibration and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with vb.net or similar programming languages for test automation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective troubleshooting and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
