General Summary:

The Intake 2.0 Paralegal functions as support for the prosecutors assigned to the Grand Jury Intake Case Review. They assist in the acquisition of evidence, discovery compliance, and drafting subpoenas and legal pleadings. They are expected to have strong communication and organizational skills and to be detail oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review assigned cases, follow up on requested evidence
  • Request evidence, draft Grand jury subpoenas if needed
  • Draft legal pleadings, including motions, notices
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Assistant District Attorneys

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Basic Computer skills, including typing and data entry
  • eCharge systems
  • Familiarity with Coreforce, Evidence Library, and Evidence.com
  • Familiarity with CCH, eCase, and other related DAO systems
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite

Required Education:

  • Associate degree and paralegal certificate; or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.

Salary (Starting):

  • $31.54 hourly/$65,603.20 annually
