The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student Data Science for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX, you will...

• Lead and/or support key data science and analytics projects for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group
• Utilize analytics techniques to clean, preprocess, explore, and analyze data sets and extract actionable insights
• Collaborate in a fun, friendly, and fast-paced team environment across disciplines and with key stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions for the business
• Present your findings in meetings and translate your results into reports and presentations
• Committed to working in an Agile-based environment

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need

• Experience with Python and SQL programming languages
• School and/or work experience analyzing text and/or numerical data
• Experience with applied statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms
• Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly during the business hours
• Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours/weekly during the business hours
• Must be able to commute to a John Deere Facility in either Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX, at least once a week, on a regular basis year-round
• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in an analytical discipline including but not limited to Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics. Others may apply.
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university
• Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

What Makes You Stand Out

• Knowledge of PySpark
• Experience with Data Engineering and/or MLOps
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Previous experience in sales and/or marketing
