About Team / Role

A WEX Benefits Partner Sales Director (PSD) is responsible for managing a multi-state territory, building and maintaining relationships with multiple WEX partners, generating requests for proposals/quotes, working a sales process, closing sales, driving revenue, and reaching an annual sales quota. We are looking for great relationship salespeople. Experience and the ability to “see the big picture” are essential.

 

How you'll make an impact

  • Must adhere to security policies

  • A full understanding of the relationship between employee benefits consultants, brokers, referral partners, employers, and Salespeople is required.

  • Understand the value of internal equity building.

  • The ability to manage the logistics of travel throughout the country.  Plan and set up your own travel schedule, reservations, event coordination, manage expenses, and logistics required for meetings.

  • Establish and attend meetings with new and existing relationships to further our partnership and generate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from these relationships.

  • Conduct finalist presentations to decision makers. 

  • Provide product training and demonstrations to penetrate and grow market share.

  • Prioritize growth opportunities.

  • Participate in weekly and monthly Region Team meetings.

  • Log and champion the use of Salesforce as a CRM.

  • Log and champion the use of LinkedIn as a communication, community building and marketing tool.

  • Travel expectations are minimum of once a month into at least one major market of your assigned territory. Each trip will include multiple partner meetings in that market.

  • Emotional Intelligence: Must possess a high level of emotional intelligence, whether on the road or in the office.

  • Customer Service: Interacts with consultants, brokers, partners and clients in a professional manner. Take immediate action to meet requests and needs. Has the ability to differentiate between exceptional and good customer service delivery.

  • Interpersonal / Communication: Must have strong verbal communication skills and ability to read and write effectively. Must have the ability to listen, evaluate, and exercise independent judgment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality when using sensitive materials. Ability to build effective working relationships. Expresses appreciation to others for their work. Treats others with respect. Is a good team member. Is a role model for others in the area of professional behavior. Provides respectful and effective feedback to others.

  • Organizational Skills: Must have the ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate work to maintain an engaged workforce. Involves the team in quality initiatives. Must be able to plan projects and multi-task effectively.

  • All other duties as assigned

Experience you'll bring

  • Two or more years of sales experience in the payroll, HCM, or employee benefits industry

  • Understands the importance of working relationships with our partner channels and all members of WEX Benefits internally. Works to protect and foster these relationships.

  • Computer proficiency is required.

  • Ability to travel at least once a month into the assigned territory.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
