About the role

Starburst Partner Solution Architects (PSAs) are trusted technical advisors who enable, empower, and grow our partner ecosystem. In this partner-facing and highly technical role, you will collaborate with strategic technology, cloud, and channel partners to design, build, and deliver joint solutions that showcase the value of Starburst. You’ll play a key role in driving technical alignment, co-selling initiatives, and solution innovation across our partner network.

You will work cross-functionally with Partner Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to accelerate partner success — from technical onboarding and enablement to solution validation, joint go-to-market execution, and customer deployment support.

As a Partner Solution Architect at Starburst you will:
  • Enable and empower partners to successfully position, demonstrate, and deploy Starburst solutions within their customer base.
Own the technical relationship with key partners, providing guidance on architecture, deployment, and solution design best practices.
  • Design and build joint solutions — including demos, reference architectures, integrations, and validated blueprints that highlight the combined value of Starburst and partner technologies.
  • Collaborate with partner sales teams to support co-selling opportunities and ensure alignment on technical strategy for joint accounts.
Lead technical enablement sessions and workshops for partner engineers, architects, and field sellers.
  • Drive proof-of-concept (POC) activities in collaboration with partners to validate joint solutions and accelerate adoption.
  • Act as the technical voice of partners within Starburst — advocating for partner needs, integration improvements, and ecosystem enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Product Management, and Support) to resolve partner technical challenges and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Develop and share best practices, solution guides, and technical content that strengthens the partner community.
  • Represent Starburst at partner events, conferences, and joint marketing initiatives as a technical thought leader.
Some of the things we look for:
  • Proven experience in a Solution Architect, Partner Engineer, or Technical Alliances role
  • Strong technical expertise in big data technologies, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling technical partnerships and driving joint solutions to market.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL and experience with data migration, integration, or performance tuning.
  • Ability to travel as needed to partner and customer engagements.

Ability to Travel: This role will require 25% in-person travel for purposes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, team and department offsites, customer engagements, and other company events. Actual travel expectations may vary by role and business needs.
