Who we need

We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and relationship-focused Partnership Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Partnerships team. This role is pivotal in accelerating the growth and impact of our partner ecosystem by driving outbound engagement, qualifying opportunities, and fueling the success of our strategic alliances.

As a Partnership BDR, you will be on the front lines of cold outreach, networking, and event participation. You'll be responsible for scheduling meetings, supporting partner enablement, and keeping our pipeline full of meaningful activity. Your work will free up leadership to focus on high-level negotiations, while giving you an unparalleled opportunity to learn the partnerships side of a hyper-growth SaaS company.

This is a high-energy, growth-minded role for someone who thrives on outbound activity, enjoys building relationships, and is excited to represent Workiz in the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service trades.

Responsibilities

Partner Outreach & Pipeline Development

  • Drive high-volume outbound engagement through cold calls, emails, and social outreach to book qualified meetings with prospective partners.
  • Maintain and organize a robust pipeline of partner opportunities in CRM.
  • Consistently set up introductory meetings for the Partnerships team, ensuring a full and active calendar of partner conversations.

Partner Engagement & Relationship Support

  • Build and nurture relationships not only with new prospects but also with existing distributor partners and their territory managers (TMs) across multiple regions.
  • Regularly engage TMs via phone, text, and email to strengthen connections, increase Workiz mindshare, and uncover dealer-level opportunities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for partner inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and routing questions internally.
  • Support ongoing partner relationships by coordinating check-ins, scheduling enablement sessions, and tracking action items.

Trade Show & Event Support

  • Assist in coordinating and attending trade shows, conferences, and partner events.
  • Represent Workiz on-site to drive brand awareness, support co-marketing activities, and generate leads for follow-up by the Partnerships and Sales teams.
  • Help capture and track event-driven partner opportunities in CRM.

Partner Enablement & Co-Marketing

  • Coordinate onboarding and training sessions for new partners.
  • Support the execution of joint campaigns, webinars, and case study development.
  • Ensure partners have the latest Workiz assets, messaging, and brand materials.

Reporting & Insights

  • Track activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, events attended) and report progress regularly.
  • Share partner feedback and market intelligence with leadership to inform strategy.
  • Maintain clean and detailed CRM records of all outreach and interactions.

This is a hybrid role working Tues, Wed and Thurs in our Austin office at The Domain and Mon and Fri working remote.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales development, partnerships, or a related customer-facing role (preferably in SaaS).
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume outbound role (phone, email, social).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Passion for building relationships and fueling growth through partnerships.

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience specifically focused on partnerships or channel programs in SaaS.
  • Prior experience in sales or business development within the HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical service trades.
  • Experience working with distributor networks and territory managers.
  • Experience representing a company at trade shows or industry events.
