At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Payment Operations Manager, leading the team responsible for powering billions in annual GCR through seamless payment acceptance on GoDaddy.com. You'll establish goals and coordinate daily operations while managing payment acceptance processes, optimization projects, and 3rd party vendor relations. The role drives bottom line impact by analyzing transaction data, identifying metric improvements, and collaborating with development teams on testing and experimentation. You'll lead and nurture your team members through direct feedback, fostering their growth and amplifying their impact to GoDaddy.

What you'll get to do...

  • Lead and develop your team: Guide team members' professional growth, and foster a high-performing payment operations department.
  • Drive strategic payment initiatives: Partner with analytics, product, and engineering teams to optimize payment routing, recurring billing, and performance while powering billions in annual GCR.
  • Make critical operational decisions: Meet payment acceptance targets, maintain high operational standards, and ensure seamless transactions for GoDaddy customers.
  • Develop insights and reporting: Create automated monitoring tools and present strategic insights to senior leadership to support data-driven decisions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and quality assurance: Oversee critical external partnerships, coordinate detailed QA activities, and troubleshoot payment experimentation to maintain the highest standards.
  • Champion customer-centricity: Frame team priorities from the customer perspective and implement feedback loops to optimize the payment experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with leaders across departments to lead project teams that advance GoDaddy's payment capabilities and overall business objectives.

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years in operations or analytics, with 3+ years managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Data-driven decision maker with 5+ years extracting metrics, creating visualizations, and producing leadership-level reporting using advanced SQL and Excel.
  • Proven experience establishing departmental standards, leading vendor relationships, and delivering high-impact projects that drive organizational goals.
  • Strong technical acumen – ability to understand complex systems and translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative influencer who partners cross-functionally, communicates effectively with senior leadership, and achieves shared goals under pressure.
  • Strategic mindset with focus on continuous improvement, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and keen attention to detail.

You might also have...

  • Experience in the payments industry, optimizing approval rates, costs, and/or other payment metrics related to transaction acceptance for digital and physical goods from the lens of an ecommerce merchant, Acquirer, or scheme.
  • Experience with corporate Accounting standards.
