To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Payroll Tax Manager located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Director, US/Canada Payroll, the Payroll Tax Manager will oversee payroll tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely payment of federal, state and local taxes by managing tax filings, staying updated on tax law changes and resolving agency issues.
What a typical day looks like:
- Accurately withhold, deposit and report federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
- Identifies and corrects discrepancies, preventing penalties for inaccurate tax filings and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Submit and monitor tax amendments ensuring expected financial outcome.
- Analyzing and enhancing existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, minimize errors, and improve overall performance and accuracy.
- Tracking, assessing and staying informed about changes in laws, regulations, standards, and policies that impact U.S. payroll tax.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of year-end reports and tax forms.
- Guide and motivate direct reports toward achieving a common goal by fostering effective communication, collaboration, and delegation.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- 10+ years of related experience
- Deep understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, accounting practices, and multi-state tax implications
- Strong payroll background with understanding of general accounting principles
- Experience working for a global enterprise
- Tax management experience
- Restricted stock experience
- UKG system experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
