Summary

The Payroll Tax Reconciliation Specialist  works in an outsourcing environment and will be responsible for daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliation of payroll and taxes, processed within all US tax jurisdictions. In this role, you will collect and analyze data to resolve tax discrepancies and balances. If you have 2-3 yrs. of Tax / Payroll experience, then this would be a great opportunity for you. 

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve customer tax out-of-balances in a timely manner.

  • Processes various mathematical calculations to determine how the data will conclude the best solutions.

  • Analysis of tax/payroll data on the employer and employee level of inspecting.

  • Transforming the goal of discovery, suggesting conclusions and supporting decision-making.

  • Ensures that the appropriate action taken, complies with the tax authority requirement.

  • Responsible for communicating to customers and document the cause of the tax discrepancy.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related Payroll and/or tax experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax rules and requirements.

  • Use internal data analytics to research and resolve tax discrepancies.

  • Ability to respond quickly, independently, and make sound decisions.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Must be able to work in a high demand, fast paced environment

Preferred

  • Associates degree or higher preferred (or 3-years’ experience equivalent)

  • Payroll outsourcing and/or Shared Services experience preferred.
