Private Bank Lending Specialist BB

The Private Bank Lending Specialist BB delivers exceptional service and support to Relationship Managers and their high‑net‑worth clients, ensuring a seamless lending experience from application through closing. This role operates with a strong focus on operational execution, loan processing, financial analysis, and meticulous quality control.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Relationship Manager and the client to identify lending needs and propose appropriate credit solutions.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client financials to determine loan eligibility and support underwriting recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external parties throughout the lending transaction once transitioned from the RM, while ensuring the RM remains fully informed.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end loan lifecycle—including presenting to Credit Officers, locking and submitting loans, gathering conditions, coordinating closings, and handling post‑closing requests.
  • Monitor and manage the loan pipeline to ensure workflow efficiency, timely documentation, and on‑schedule closings.
  • Maintain expertise in Private Bank credit policies, lending origination systems, and regulatory requirements related to Private Bank business lending, commercial real estate, and multi‑family lending.
  • Uphold rigorous quality control standards by verifying accuracy and completeness of financial and loan documentation.

Qualifications, Education & Certifications

  • 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience across a variety of industries including professional services (i.e. law firms, medical practices), non-profit organizations, as well as private equity/venture capital (capital call lending, management company credit facilities). Experience with owner-occupied commercial real estate transactions is a plus.
  • Multi-family and commercial real estate underwriting experience.
  • BA/BS Degree required with concentration in business, finance and/or accounting preferred.
  • Strong decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills; including the ability to clearly understand complex concepts.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined, with the ability to work effectively with little supervision.
  • Advanced familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with high‑touch private banking or wealth‑management lending environments.
  • Proficiency with loan origination systems.
  • Working knowledge of secondary market guidelines and real estate valuation principles.
  • Ability to interpret complex tax returns and global cash flow analyses.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with a client‑centric, service‑oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and scenario analysis. 
  • Experience with Moody's CreditLens and with AFS is a plus.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
