The Role: 

We are looking for a People Operations Business Partner to drive culture, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This role partners closely with leaders and employees to implement and enhance programs across employee experience, performance management, leadership development, and new hire enablement. Our ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth environment, is highly adaptable, passionate about building scalable people programs and is fluent in change management.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and manage employee engagement initiatives such as team-building events, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Partner with leaders to support employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
  • Provide direct support to junior and senior leaders, offering tailored guidance on people-related challenges.
  • Oversee employee offboarding, ensuring compliance and seamless transitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance our new hire onboarding experience, including milestone check-ins, new hire plans, orientation programs, and functional onboarding.
  • Lead performance management efforts, continuous feedback programs, and career development initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and TA to develop competency models, career paths, development programs, and leadership training.
  • Analyze employee feedback and engagement data to shape future programs and improve the employee experience.
  • Support HR operational efforts such as job leveling for compensation structures.
  • Support change management efforts to ready a high-growth startup for large-scale HR operational change including the implementation of a new HRIS.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and best practices, including international HR considerations.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of related People Operations Business Partnership experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for making a direct impact on business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities to drive organizational change.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and global HR compliance.
  • Familiarity with global HCM platforms, preferably Workday.
  • Experience working in collaboration and productivity tools including Confluence and JIRA.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

  • PHR, SPHR or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting change management for large-scale HR technology and operations transformations.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
