Who You Are:

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities shift quickly, details matter, and no two days look exactly the same.

You’re highly organized, operationally sharp, and naturally proactive. You notice friction early and instinctively jump in to help. Whether it’s coordinating interviews, supporting onboarding workflows, updating employee records, or helping keep processes organized, you’re comfortable figuring things out and getting things done. You’re not afraid to ask questions along the way, and you know how to balance ownership with curiosity when navigating new situations.

You’re excited by the opportunity to support recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and day-to-day People operations at Blockworks. You enjoy staying organized, helping teams move quickly, and supporting the behind-the-scenes work that helps create a smooth employee experience.

Most importantly, you care about people. You know that strong employee experiences don’t happen accidentally, and you take pride in helping support thoughtful, organized experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

As our People & Talent Partner, you’ll help support the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team at Blockworks. You’ll work closely with the Head of Talent & Organizational Effectiveness across recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and People operations to help keep processes organized and running smoothly as the company scales.

Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will:

  • Support Day-to-Day People Operations: You’ll assist with employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, promotions, transfers, offboarding, employee records updates, payroll coordination support, leave administration support, benefits administration support, documentation updates, and general People team administration.

  • Maintain Employee Records & Systems Accuracy: You’ll help maintain accurate employee information across HR and recruiting systems, trackers, documentation, and internal records.

  • Support Onboarding & Employee Setup: You’ll assist with onboarding coordination from offer acceptance through the first 90 days, including scheduling, onboarding communications, documentation, employee setup tasks, and helping new hires feel prepared for their first day.

  • Support Recruiting & Hiring Coordination: You’ll help move candidates through the hiring process, including resume screening, interview scheduling, sourcing support, candidate communication, and maintaining a strong candidate experience from intro call through offer stage.

  • Support Employee Experience Programs: You’ll help coordinate onboarding experiences, employee touchpoints, engagement activities, internal communications, and company programs that support the employee experience at Blockworks.

  • Coordinate Across Teams to Support Operations: You’ll work closely with Finance, Operations, hiring managers, and leadership to help coordinate People-related workflows, scheduling, communications, and day-to-day operational support.

  • Assist with Internal Events & Team Coordination: You’ll help support onboarding sessions, team initiatives, internal programming, and coordination for the company’s annual retreat and other internal events.

  • Provide General People Team Support: You’ll assist with documentation updates, administrative tasks, recruiting coordination, employee requests, and additional People & Culture support as needed.

Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before:

You’ve spent at least 2+ years working in HR, Recruiting, Talent Operations, People Operations, or a related people-focused role. You’ve supported people programs and processes, worked cross-functionally with managers or teams, and understand how important organization and follow through are inside a growing company.

You’re comfortable balancing multiple priorities at once and know how to stay organized in fast-moving environments. You’ve likely coordinated interviews, supported onboarding tasks, maintained employee records or systems, and helped support recruiting or HR workflows.

You communicate clearly, handle sensitive information professionally, and operate with strong attention to detail. You’re the type of person who leads with empathy, asks thoughtful questions, stays engaged, and enjoys helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.

You’re excited by the opportunity to grow alongside a scaling company and continue building experience across all things People & Culture.

It’d Be Great If You’ve Done This:

If you’ve worked in a startup or high-growth environment where priorities shifted quickly and teams moved fast, that’s a huge plus. Experience supporting both recruiting and HR operations is highly valued, especially if you’ve helped coordinate onboarding, employee processes, documentation, or recruiting workflows.

Familiarity with tools like Ashby, Sequoia, Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, or similar systems is a plus. Interest in crypto, fintech, or technology may help you ramp faster, but curiosity, adaptability, organization, and strong execution matter most.
