Job Description

The business analyst will be required to perform the following:

  • Analyze current "as is" business and dataflow at DFPS; as well as document the "to be" business and dataflow for future phases of the SCOR or CAPPS 9.2 projects
  • Review and document the impact of migrating from HCATS to SCOR; and produce a planning document that lists the tasks, timeframes, and task participants required.
  • Analyze, document, and review requirements and design documents
  • Analyze program policies and procedures to determine their effect on the newly created automated contract system.
  • Evaluate the resources required to batch data from SCOR to populate IMPACT
  • Facilitate discussions and meetings to ensure communication throughout the various DFPS stakeholders, and document business decisions
  • Participate in CAPPS and SCOR project meetings and work sessions
  • Participate in testing activities with DFPS IT, Functional Analysts, and business users
  • May assist with training and communication to appropriate DFPS contract staff.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Performing various business analyst roles and responsibilities
  • Developing and documenting process workflows
  • Experience facilitating meetings with stakeholders and decision makers to finalize documented workflows
  • Developing requirements and analyzing financial system components
  • Experience in process or systems work on at least two of the following:  general ledger, purchasing, accounts payable, billing/accounts receivable, asset management, contract accounting, or budget planning
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
  • Experience creating high-level work plan
  • Understanding of state government financial processes, policies, and procedures

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting ERP financial modules in a production environment
  • Understanding of batch processes
  • Understanding of PeopleSoft objects and table structure
  • Understanding of project planning
  • Generating SQL reports
