Role Description

Our performance marketing team at Dropbox defines paid media strategy, develops programs and initiatives, and oversees channel execution between agencies and internal partner teams to drive business results. We’re responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of paid marketing programs that support strategic company initiatives, partnering across teams in marketing, sales, growth, finance, and data science.

As a Performance Marketing Manager focused on Dropbox standalone products, you will be instrumental in overseeing our marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance marketing, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing channels. This role will be responsible for driving user acquisition, optimizing campaigns, and enhancing our overall marketing performance in alignment with business objectives.

You will possess a deep understanding of performance marketing metrics, customer journey analytics, and attribution modeling, allowing you to make informed decisions and optimize campaign performance. This role will require close collaboration with our product, integrated marketing, and growth teams to align on product developments and go-to-market (GTM) strategies, translating these insights into effective marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Create and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies for Dropbox standalone products to drive user acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, implement, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels including SEM, display, social media, and content syndication.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze and communicate campaign performance metrics and user behavior to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI. 
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on landing pages, ad creatives, and audiences to identify the most effective strategies and improve conversion rates and ROAS.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the product, sales, and analytics teams to ensure marketing efforts align with product offerings and business goals.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for future marketing strategies to share with stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate marketing budget effectively to maximize the impact of marketing initiatives.
  • Forecasting and Campaign Planning: Develop forecasts and strategic campaign plans that align with business objectives to ensure successful marketing outcomes.  
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Marketing, with a focus on performance marketing, user acquisition, and/or digital marketing.
  • Proficient in interpreting marketing data, creating alignment around actionable insights, and translating findings into effective marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Expert in end-to-end campaign development, execution, and measurement, with demonstrated experience in collaborating with marketing operations to set up, execute, and optimize performance marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with various marketing channels, including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and content syndication. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships and ensure alignment with team members and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital marketing experience across self-serve and demand generation programs
  • Background in SEM
