GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a select group of patients/families for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients during admission, Phase 1 and Phase 2 anesthesia up to and including transfer/discharge.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred
- Current RN License in the state of Texas
- Bilingual preferred
- Pediatric experience required
- Critical Care experience preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
- • Current licensure in the state of Texas
- • CPR Certification
- • Must test for a unit specific certification (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse - CPAN,
- Certified Ambulatory Per anesthesia Nurse –CAPA) upon qualification to sit for exam
- • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Phase I Recovery Staff.
