Texas Instruments is seeking a Photo/Diffusion Process Engineering Section Manager to lead a team of engineers at our new manufacturing site in Sherman, Texas. This role is critical to our successful ramp of manufacturing operations and development of our next-generation technologies, offering the opportunity to shape both technical strategy and team culture in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
The Photo/Diffusion Process Engineering Section Manager will:
- Own the full performance and long-term success of the section, consistently demonstrating high ownership and accountability for team results, deliverables, and culture
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of process engineers and technicians by establishing clear expectations, driving tactical execution, and architecting forward-looking strategic plans
- Orchestrate the efficient release of Photo/Diffusion processes to meet aggressive ramp milestones and production targets
- Champion daily module operational performance by proactively improving process stability, implementing innovative automation solutions, and maximizing manufacturing flexibility
- Identify and execute high-impact process improvements that increase process yield and enable cost leadership
- Drive process development and qualification activities to enable next-generation technology nodes, ensuring seamless integration into high-volume manufacturing
- Recruit, mentor, and elevate technical talent, building a team of technicians and engineers capable of scaling with the wafer start needs of a ramping manufacturing site
- Partner strategically with Equipment Engineering Section Manager peers and Operations leadership to align priorities and remove cross-functional barriers
- Represent the module in daily operations forums, delivering clear, data-driven status updates and actionable insights
- Cultivate a culture of open communication, trust, and collaboration across all levels of the organization to accelerate site-wide success
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related Engineering field
- 5 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience on the process side, including at least 2 years of engineering management experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience in a 300mm wafer fabrication environment with a deep understanding of the technical and operational demands of high-volume manufacturing
- Deep expertise in Photo process development and control: direct experience in OPC and DOMA, resist evaluation and selection, and enhanced at-tool detection
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing, deploying, and sustaining Advanced Process Control (APC) models within Photo/Diffusion modules
- Proven success in building, developing, and leading high-performing engineering teams, transforming individual contributors into a cohesive unit driving toward shared goals
- Exceptional prioritization skills - the ability to simultaneously manage competing projects and shifting demands in a fast-moving, high-stakes manufacturing environment
