Job Summary:

This role reports directly to the VP of Platform Enablement and will play a critical role in defining how platform enablement operates across the organization. The Platform Enablement Lead will help establish the structure, standards, and operating model that drive platform configuration, onboarding, adoption, and long-term success across sites.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role ideal for someone who enjoys building clarity and structure in evolving environments. 

This position is classified as a 1099 independent contractor role. The individual selected will not be an employee of CenExel and will not be eligible for employee benefits. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes and insurance, and will be required to submit invoices for payment. The contractor retains control over how the work is performed, consistent with the needs of the project.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists with defining the operating model for Platform Enablement across sites and systems.
  • Designs scalable approaches to configuration management, change readiness, and governance.
  • Creates practical frameworks that support consistency across a growing network.
  • Develops onboarding and training frameworks for new users and new site launches.
  • Creates playbooks, standards, and documentation that improve repeatability.
  • Supports platform rollouts and proactively identifies adoption risks.
  • Partners closely with Product, Engineering, IT, and Site Operations to ensure alignment.
  • Contributes to hiring and defining roles as the Platform Enablement function grows.
  • Assists with establishing performance expectations, workflows, and team standards
  • Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.


Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 4–6 years of experience in enablement, implementation, platform operations, program management, or similar roles.
  • Experience formalizing processes in growing or scaling organizations.
  • Strong ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and build structure where none exists.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with CTMS or similar clinical research platforms is a plus.
  • Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated environments preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

 

Working Conditions

  1. Indoor, Office environment.
  2. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
  3. Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  4. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  5. Remote or Hybrid work arrangement.
  6. Approximately 20% travel is expected to support site engagement across the network.
