The Post-Closing QC Specialist is responsible for reviewing closed loans to ensure they are compliant with agency, investor, GSE, regulatory, and UHM requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Perform a post-closing loan analysis to ensure loan documents, origination, underwriting and funding of loans were in accordance with company, agency, investor policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements as set forth in UHM’s Quality Control Plan.
- Complete assigned loan audits in a timely and professional manner ensuring proper grammar, and findings that are clear, concise and consistent.
- Calculate income, assets and reconcile credit information in accordance with agency and investor requirements.
- Request, track and review all required reverifications that verify the accuracy and integrity of the information used to support the lending decision for loans selected for QC review.
- Meet standard production and SLAs as required for the role.
- Ensure UHM’s QC system of record is accurately updated for all initial audits and finding responses.
- Review and address rebuttal responses to meet departmental SLAs.
- Identify red flags and escalate per company policy.
- Perform special audits in accordance with procedures.
- Attend and participate in regular (daily/weekly), Operations, and QC department huddles.
- Responsible for remaining updated on all regulatory, investor, agency, FHA, VA, USDA, UHM guidelines.
- Assist with training of new Post-Closing QC Specialist(s).
- Adherent to the UHM Code of Conduct.
- Execute other special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2 years minimum mortgage-related quality control or equivalent mortgage operations experience
- Experience with Encompass is required
- Must be proficient in appraisal requirements
- Proven working knowledge of mortgage loan fraud detection and prevention policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experience with FHA, USDA, VA, Agency, and Regulatory requirements
