About Early Media

Early Media is creating and distributing groundbreaking original series. We craft narratives with viral potential while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between filmmaker and audience into the tightest iteration loop in the industry.

We're hiring a Post Producer to run the day-to-day post-production management across our scripted and unscripted slates, working directly with the Director of Post. You will manage all of our projects from ingest to delivery, and support the editors and finishing artists.

What you'll own

  • Scheduling & status: Owning the schedule and status of every active project in post: scripted drama, unscripted series, and pilots.

  • Resource management: Knowing who's working on what, ensuring editors are available when jobs need them, and reallocating capacity when projects run behind or timelines compress. Includes coordinating and managing external vendors.

  • Frontline creative feedback: You are the first person to see the editors work and you are comfortable giving notes to ensure when the videos get shared to stakeholders they are aligned with the vision for the content.

  • Feedback loop: Owning the loop between post and internal stakeholders: making sure notes arrive on time, are understood and correctly implemented, and that the downstream implications of changes are flagged before they cause problems.

  • Budget: Owning the post budget at the project level: actuals, purchase orders, and flagging overages before they happen.

  • Operational foundation: Alongside the Director of Post, building and maintaining the department's operational backbone: workflow standards, naming conventions, documentation, and the project management system, keeping it accurate as the slate grows.

Must-haves

  • Proven project management skills: Comfortable keeping many moving parts (schedules, people, vendors, budgets) working together without dropping the ball

  • Multi-project experience: You've tracked simultaneous projects across different phases of post at once with different timelines and resources.

  • Deep understanding of the post-production process: You’re able to spot issues or bottlenecks ahead of time and solve problems before they happen

  • Hands-on vendor coordination: You've booked sessions, negotiated rates, confirmed deliverables, and held vendors accountable to deadlines.

  • Comfort owning a project-level budget: Experience tracking actuals, flagging cost issues, reconciling at wrap.

  • Strong communicator: You manage people well and know how to get the best out of people across production, editorial, and external vendors.

Nice to Have

  • Experience producing post across both scripted and unscripted formats

  • Familiarity with social-first content (TikTok, YouTube, IG) as well as traditional broadcast/streaming

  • Experience negotiating with vendors, evaluating and hiring post-production talent, and managing creatives

  • Comfortable building and refining processes, not just following them

  • A hands-on post-production background, with the ability to jump in and fill resource gaps when needed
