Job Description
- Job Title: Public Relations Specialist
- Location: Remote, US
- Department: Marketing
- Reports to: Head of Public Relations & Communications
We’re hiring a PR Specialist to support how we show up in the media and stay connected to the stories shaping our industry. This role will help manage our PR agency partnership, support media communications, and ensure our team stays informed, prepared, and visible in the right moments.
This is an ideal role for a strong writer and recent graduate (English, Communications, Journalism, or related major) who’s excited to build a foundation in public relations. You’ll work closely with our communications, social, and marketing teams to support earned media efforts, executive communications, and day-to-day PR operations.
From coordinating press releases and media responses to tracking coverage and scanning the news cycle, this role blends storytelling, organization, and curiosity. You’ll help keep our PR engine running smoothly while learning how strategic communications come together.
You’ll support our agency relationship, assist with media Q&A and briefing materials, and help connect PR efforts with our social media presence. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn — just as comfortable proofreading a press release as you are pulling together a weekly coverage report or flagging a timely news moment.

-
Help draft, edit, and proofread press releases, media pitches, talking points, and media Q&A documents

-
Support social media efforts by identifying PR wins, media moments, and newsworthy stories to amplify
-
Assist with executive and leadership communications preparation as needed
-
Help ensure messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned across PR and social channels
-
Recent graduate or 1–2 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
-
English, Communications, Journalism, or similar major strongly preferred
-
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-
Interest in media, news cycles, storytelling, and brand reputation
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-
Comfortable collaborating with agencies and cross-functional teams
-
Internship or agency experience
-
Familiarity with media monitoring or PR tools (Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, etc.)
