Overview:

This Pricer/Analyst will provide various pricing and analytical support and leadership functions as related to the required proposal submission deliverables and contract financial pricing administration and modifications for OD entities. Working as an essential part of the OD operational support, proposals, and business development teams, this position will be central towards the provision of competitive and accurate program financial support and pricing submissions. 


The successful candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Excel functionality may include data input and manipulation, pricing model development, financial analysis, reporting, and subcontractor data integration, all of which are considered important components of this position. In addition, this position will support the development of pricing narratives and related proposal deliverables, while assisting with market intelligence and industry analysis efforts.

Experience supporting government contracts, proposal development, and government pricing efforts is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Financial Implementation VP in all pricing efforts by developing competitive pricing models.
  • Assists in coordinating with the proposals team and the appropriate divisional leads with respective data analysis and input.
  • Produces technical pricing write-ups as required by Request for Proposals.
  • Produces pricing narratives, technical pricing write-ups, and other pricing documentation required by Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Collects and analyzes data relating to current and projected market conditions, indirect cost structures, labor costs, overhead, or competitive pricing in order to recommend to recommend pricing strategies.
  • Assists the Pricing Manager in coordinating workloads, schedules, priorities, and proposal pricing activities.  
  • Supports in the coordination of final pricing reviews with the appropriate divisional leads.
  • Works with the appropriate leads to obtain, evaluate, and manage subcontractor pricing submission.  
  • Provides accurate and up-to-date analysis of health and welfare rates, labor burdens, payroll taxes, wade determinations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.  
  • Ability to simplify complex data analytics into understandable and actionable information.  
  • Capable of integrating subcontractor pricing data into prime models.
  • Ability to work efficiently with pricing counterparts from other prime contractor, sub-contractors, and teaming partners.  
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.  
  • Ability to follow up and meet deadlines in a proactive and anticipatory fashion.
  • Willingness to attain a working understanding of the Government procurement regulations and Government negotiations in accordance with the TINA, FAR, JTR, DFARS, FASA, and ITAR regulations.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the following disciplines: Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Quantitative Methods, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • A preferred 5 years or at a minimum of 2 plus years of direct experience in government contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, proposal support, or other analytical disciplines is required.  


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • To perform this job successfully, the candidate must posses a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and demonstrate the ability to develop business-related formulas, pricing models and financial analysis. 
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and attention to detail required.  
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise, and persuasive pricing narratives and supporting documentation.  
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.  
  • Ability to attract, motivate, direct and support a small, energetic ventures team, working within a culturally diverse organization.
  • This position will receive support and training from the current Pricing Manager regarding the responsibilities described above; however, the candidate must already possess strong Microsoft Excel capabilities, sound analytical skills, and the demonstrated potential to develop into highly effective pricing professional.

Work Environment:

General office environment.  Hybrid work arrangement available.  Candidates located with Eastern or Central Time Zones will be considered for remote opportunities.  Regular availability during standard Eastern Time business hours is required.
