Overview
The Pricing Analyst is the product matter expert for competitive pricing at Chadwell Supply. The Pricing Analyst makes suggestions for price changes through investigation of market conditions, the current competitive atmosphere and supplier cost changes which will achieve both a larger customer share as well as increased margin. He/she works with the Product Specialists and the Senior Pricing Analyst to determine pricing schemes for broad product groups and manages the Cross Reference Database used for competitor product crosses.
What you will need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant field of study.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an analytical or operations role, preferably within a large organization.
  • Experience working with large datasets, reporting, payroll, or other data-driven business processes.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with data in a desk-based environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, including ERP platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
 
How you will make an impact
  • Update the Cross Reference Database with competitive product crosses and pricing.
  • Suggest new items through Gap Analysis.
  • Monitor and report on competitor pricing for critical key categories.

  • Other commodities
  • Work with the Renovation and National Account teams to review contract and quote pricing.
  • Monitor and report daily on the Sales team under minimum pricing discounts.
  • Work with Merchandising to:
    • Help determine sales of flyer items and pricing
    • Maintain 3rd Party taxonomy data
    • Identify Overstock (for sales opportunities) and Deadstock/WSL (for disposition)
  • Review catalog pricing and create suggested GTM strategy.
 
What will set you apart
  • Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Experience with pricing and/or cost modeling a plus.
