What you will do:
  • Lead the Finance workstream on D365 Finance implementations from discovery and design through configuration oversight, testing support, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Provide deep functional leadership across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, financial reporting, consolidations, intercompany, and multi-legal-entity design.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, controllers, finance leaders, and hands-on users by challenging assumptions, explaining tradeoffs, and recommending sound finance process and system design decisions.
  • Lead finance discovery workshops, business process advisory discussions, gap analysis, and solution design activities while guiding clients toward D365 best practices and practical process standardization.
  • Design and validate Finance solutions for organizations with multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, consolidation requirements, shared financial structures, financial dimensions, and reporting needs.
  • Own quality control for Finance deliverables, including design documents, configuration decisions, process flows, client-facing recommendations, and finance-related project outputs before they are presented to clients.
  • Collaborate with SCM, manufacturing, warehousing, technical, integration, data migration, reporting, and project management resources to ensure Finance decisions are aligned with the broader end-to-end solution.
  • Mentor and coach Finance consultants, support internal methodology and knowledge sharing, and contribute to solution leadership maturity across the Microsoft delivery team.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or similar credentials are a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance, accounting, controllership, internal finance leadership, or consulting experience, with more than 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience preferred
  • Background may include strong internal finance leadership with D365 ownership, deep D365 Finance consulting experience, or a combination of both; candidates should be interested in growing into a full-time consulting and solution leadership role
  • Deep Finance functional expertise, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Project Accounting, multi-legal-entity structures, intercompany, consolidations, controls, and financial reporting
  • Strong Project Accounting experience is required; Budgeting, Landed Cost, and hands-on D365 security configuration experience are preferred
  • Consultative mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions, guide process improvement, explain tradeoffs, and recommend practical solutions rather than simply document current-state requirements
  • Experience with standard D365 financial reporting is required; Financial Reporter experience is strongly preferred, and Power BI experience is a plus
  • Ability to define finance data requirements and advise on opening balances, master data, historical data access, reporting continuity, and practical data conversion approaches; hands-on data migration strategy experience is a plus
  • Comfort working across adjacent functional and technical areas, including SCM, manufacturing, warehousing, integrations, reporting, and Power Platform, with Finance remaining the primary area of expertise
  • Familiarity with Microsoft implementation practices such as Success by Design, FastTrack, Lifecycle Services, and Azure DevOps is preferred
  • Pre-sales experience, including discovery support, solution framing, demonstrations, estimating, or proposal input, is preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel approximately 3 to 5 weeks per year
