At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Role

The Content Promotion & Distribution team is responsible for designing the suite of products that power a show’s journey from ingestion to streaming.  We build products to help Netflix and our partners plan, ingest, decorate, launch, and promote the best content to our members at a global scale. From artwork to collections, synopses to ratings, the team shapes much of what members see and feel, powering a nuanced promotion and discovery engine that leaves every member feeling that Netflix was crafted just for them.

We leverage vast data sets and cutting-edge AI technology to improve operational workflows, scale our catalog capabilities, and distribute at speed. We design products that bring insights and intelligence to creatives’ fingertips, enhancing their ability to make the best possible content and consumer member experiences. We own the global catalog, foundational elements that take raw media and decorate it with metadata, artwork, trailers, synopses, subs, dubs - our technology fuels one of the world’s most powerful entertainment platforms, ensuring that great stories can come from anywhere and be loved everywhere.

The Product Manager for Scaled Content Systems will partner with Engineering, Operations, and Design to build and scale the platforms, services, and tools powering the content lifecycle—while resisting the temptation to treat every new deal as a bespoke one-off. This is a pivotal moment for the business. We are reimagining the media lifecycle from ingest to play and moving from high-touch workflows to AI-powered, automated workflows, with exceptions that require human oversight. You will play a key role in shaping this evolution. Just as importantly, you will be a close product partner to the domain teams who run these workflows, turning their hardest problems into a durable product strategy.

We have launched the first suite of products, but we are far from done. This is a high-leverage role with direct impact on the speed, quality, and cost with which content reaches members around the world.

In This Role You Will:

  • Set the strategy: define and drive the product vision for programmatic, scaled ingestion by investing in solutions that reduce manual effort, enable differentiated distribution workflows, and accelerate time-to-launch across a range of content types.
  • Own the products that make delivering media to Netflix effortless: unified direct delivery via APIs, web portals, and standards-based feeds; spec-agnostic ingestion; partner onboarding and permissioning.
  • Lead the path to automated publishing: work with domain PMs to simplify the path between ingestion and launch — automation as the default launch path, an extensible catalog architecture that lets new content bets evolve safely, and reliable fulfillment across the platforms and systems the business depends on.
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams: act as the primary product partner to deal with partnership teams; translate deal terms into a prioritized backlog to invest in foundational capabilities. Work with partner domains to streamline asset workflows and launches.
  • Communicate with clarity: use crisp written and verbal communication to provide context to stakeholders ranging from individual engineers to senior leadership, and to uncover new areas of opportunity.

Your Background Includes:

  • 10+ years of product management experience for b2b or b2c focused products
  • A track record of shipping complex technical or platform products ideally in content supply chain, media processing, ingestion/distribution pipelines, workflow orchestration, developer/partner platforms, or large-scale operational systems.
  • Strong systems thinking and technical acumen: comfortable reasoning about pipelines, APIs, data models, automation, and the trade-offs between speed, quality, cost, and risk. You don't need to code, but you should work deeply with engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operational teams and translate operational realities into product strategy and roadmap.
  • Data-driven analysis and decision-making, with excellent judgment and prioritization in ambiguous, high-scale environments.
  • Experience building automation- or ML/AI-powered products that reduce manual effort at scale is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across engineers, designers, data scientists, and business partners in a highly cross-functional, matrixed organization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in media, entertainment, or streaming is a strong plus.

What We Offer:

  • Meaningful impact. The systems you own are foundational to how hundreds of millions of members experience Netflix — and to how efficiently the business operates.
  • Responsibility. Netflix offers true transparency and autonomy. Our culture is unique and is key to how we innovate.
  • Stunning colleagues. You'll work with high-performing peers across product, engineering, and operations who value collaboration and from whom you can learn.
  • Location: LA/Los Gatos, CA. Will consider remote candidates based on the US West Coast; periodic travel required.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $660,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off. See more details about our Benefits here.

Netflix is a unique culture and environment. Learn more here.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
