About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Recruiter who will play a dual role:

Deliver full life-cycle recruiting for director-level and below positions across multiple business functions.

Drive operational excellence and governance improvements within the talent acquisition function, ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient recruiting processes.

This role goes beyond traditional recruiting by combining recruiting expertise with a focus on talent operations, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a seasoned recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building best-in-class recruiting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting Excellence

  • Own the full recruiting life cycle for director-level and below positions, from intake to offer acceptance.

  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to develop tailored recruiting strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Source, engage, and attract top talent through innovative sourcing techniques and market intelligence.

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through clear communication and timely updates.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance with all recruiting policies.

Talent Operations & Governance

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership to design, implement, and refine recruiting processes that improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

  • Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead initiatives to standardize workflows, enhance data integrity, and strengthen governance across the recruiting function.

  • Partner with HR and TA stakeholders to ensure alignment on reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on recruiting systems (e.g., Workday) and tools, driving adoption and optimization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement best practices in talent acquisition, leveraging technology and automation where possible.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for recruiting processes, ensuring clarity and consistency.

  • Support change management efforts related to new tools, processes, and policies within the talent acquisition team.

  • Contribute to talent branding and sourcing strategies that position the company as an employer of choice.

What’s Expected of You

  • Apply expertise and knowledge across specialized recruiting disciplines, serving as an internal authority in your field.

  • Solve significant and unique problems, often evaluating intangibles that impact long-term success and the entire talent acquisition function.

  • Independently determine approaches to assignments and develop solutions that are thorough, practical, and aligned with functional objectives.

  • Provide professional, system, and process guidance, influencing the work of others and shaping best practices.

  • Demonstrate accountability for results that may impact the entire function, while driving improvements in service, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a proven track record of hiring across corporate functions and business segments.

  • Experience in process improvement, talent operations, or recruiting governance strongly preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of ATS platforms (Workday preferred) and modern sourcing tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and implement change within a recruiting organization.

  • Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Makes This Role Different

Unlike a standard recruiter role, the Principal Recruiter is expected to:

  • Lead operational and governance initiatives within Talent Acquisition.

  • Act as a strategic partner in improving recruiting processes and systems.

  • Drive data-driven decision-making and compliance across the function.

  • Balance hands-on recruiting with process optimization and change management responsibilities.
