AHEAD is seeking a seasoned Principal Technical Consultant, Lead specializing in Network Cloud experience, leading the end-to-end design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud networking architectures (e.g., Spine-Leaf, Hub-and-Spoke) across multi-cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Must have deep expertise in advanced network routing (using BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN) switching, and service provider technologies.
 
The Principal Technical Consultant, Lead, will have a strong consultative and business aptitude.  Extensive leadership skills providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to grow and excel in their roles, as well as managing a team of 6 to 8 technical consultants responsible for oversight and escalation support on team members projects.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 6 to 8 technical consultants responsible for oversight and escalation support on team members projects
  • Work with delivery leadership to ensure successful project outcomes using business defined KPI’s
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, at the highest quality standards while exceeding client expectations.
  • Design and implement complex, mission-critical transformational enterprise grade technical solutions for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, drive business growth, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Develop high quality deliverables and presentations for Client engineering teams and senior leaders, this can include both technical documentation and non-technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical challenges and develop tailored solutions to address their needs
  • Create and present solution designs, options, ideas, and innovations to clients’ senior leadership teams.
  • Develop and maintain Technical Roadmaps and Services Portfolio.
  • Actively lead collaboration within our technical communities

Qualifications:

  • Experience and ability to “jump on a whiteboard” in front of a customer to develop a solution to a business / technology goal or challenge.
  • Strong consulting and business acumen
  • Previous technical oversight and leadership experience in a consulting environment
  • Previous experience working in Salesforce and or PowerBI for KPI tracking
  • 10+ years in IT, with at least 5+ years specialized in Cloud Networking and DevOps. In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, Load Balancing, and container networking (Kubernetes).
  • Expert-level credentials such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or Palo Alto Certified Solutions Engineer
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation to build reproducible, hardened network stacks.
  • Hands-on experience in programming with Java, Python or any development language.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leading the end-to-end design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud networking architectures (e.g., Spine-Leaf, Hub-and-Spoke) across multi-cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
