The Principal Technical Product Manager (PTPM) is the senior product leader responsible for owning an entire product domain, including strategy, roadmap, and outcomes.
This role builds on the Technical Product Manager (TPM) foundation, expanding scope from individual features to full domain ownership. The PTPM sets direction, prioritizes investment, and is accountable for ensuring that what is built delivers against defined business and customer goals.
Operating within an AI-enabled product model, the PTPM partners with TPMs and engineering teams to ensure that requirements, architecture, and product decisions are of the highest quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Own a full product domain, including strategy, roadmap, and long-term direction
- Define and prioritize investments based on customer needs, technical constraints, and business impact
- Lead and develop TPMs within the domain
- Act as the senior technical product voice across the domain
- Represent the domain in strategy and priority discussions
- Ensure high-quality product definitions across all work entering the domain
- Make final tradeoff decisions on scope, architecture, and prioritization
- Drive cross-domain alignment for complex initiatives
- Partner with sales, engineering, and leadership to align product investment with business needs
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in product management or technical roles
- Strong technical background (architecture, APIs, integrations)
- Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmap at scale
- Demonstrated ability to make high-impact product decisions
- Experience leading or mentoring product managers
- Strong ability to translate customer and business inputs into product direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payments, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
- Experience leading platform or multi-product initiatives
- Background in data, analytics, or AI-driven products
- Experience in AI-enabled product organizations
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence

All roles are hybrid, meaning that employees may work remotely but should expect periodic travel to an office. Frequency will vary pending your role and responsibilities
