About Us:

webAI is pioneering the future of artificial intelligence by establishing the first distributed AI infrastructure dedicated to personalized AI. We recognize the evolving demands of a data-driven society for scalability and flexibility, and we firmly believe that the future of AI lies in distributed processing at the edge, bringing computation closer to the source of data generation. Our mission is to build a future where a company's valuable data and intellectual property remain entirely private, enabling the deployment of large-scale AI models directly on standard consumer hardware without compromising the information embedded within those models. We are developing an end-to-end platform that is secure, scalable, and fully under the control of our users, empowering enterprises with AI that understands their unique business. We are a team driven by truth, ownership, tenacity, and humility, and we seek individuals who resonate with these core values and are passionate about shaping the next generation of AI.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager to own the messaging, positioning, and go-to-market narrative across our commercial business. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who sets strategy and also rolls up their sleeves, equally comfortable shaping a category narrative, sitting in a customer pitch, and reviewing a product spec. As a senior product marketing voice in the room, you will operate across product, engineering, and our sales and business development teams, translating deep technical capability into clear, compelling stories that move deals forward and resonate with audiences ranging from technical commercial buyers to decision-makers evaluating on-device AI. You will set the bar for how webAI talks about itself, raise the craft of those around you, and influence direction without relying on formal authority. The ideal candidate has done this at a startup or a fast-growing private or public company and knows how to build the marketing engine while the plane is still being flown.

Key Outcomes You'll Drive:

  • Category leadership: webAI owns a differentiated, defensible position in the on-device and distributed AI market, recognized by buyers, analysts, and partners.

  • Pipeline and deal velocity: messaging, positioning, and enablement measurably accelerate pipeline conversion and shorten sales cycles across commercial and motions.

  • Win rate: sales and BD teams are equipped to win against key competitive alternatives, with positioning and competitive assets that hold up in evaluated deals.

  • Launch impact: product launches consistently generate qualified pipeline, market awareness, and measurable adoption — not just announcements.

  • Field readiness: sellers ramp faster and tell a consistent, high-fidelity story, with enablement adoption tracked and improved over time.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and set the messaging and positioning strategy across commercial audiences, and keep it sharp as the product and market evolve — measured by field adoption and message pull-through in deals.

  • Define how webAI positions itself in the category, shaping the narrative that differentiates us in a fast-moving AI market and earns recognition from buyers, analysts, and the broader ecosystem.

  • Partner closely with commercial sales and business development teams to understand their selling motion end to end, then build the content, narratives, and assets that accelerate deal velocity at each stage of the funnel.

  • Work directly with product managers and engineering to understand the platform at a technical level, stay ahead of the roadmap, and influence it with market and customer insight.

  • Translate complex AI concepts, including on-device inference, model performance, privacy, and security, into language that lands with technical and non-technical buyers alike.

  • Own competitive intelligence and positioning: track key alternatives, arm the field to win evaluated deals, and feed competitive insight back into product and GTM strategy.

  • Develop sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, solution briefs, FAQs, and competitive positioning, and measure their adoption and impact in the field.

  • Lead product launches end to end, from positioning and narrative through to field enablement and readiness, with clear goals for pipeline, awareness, and adoption.

  • Raise the craft of product marketing across the team, setting standards and mentoring others without requiring formal management authority.

  • Gather and synthesize input from customers, the field, and the market to inform positioning, messaging, and product direction.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience with a strong technical orientation, including time at a startup or a fast-growing private or public technology company.

  • A track record of owning messaging and positioning strategy that sales and BD teams adopt and that measurably moves pipeline, win rates, and deal velocity.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior individual contributor: setting direction, driving cross-functional initiatives, and delivering with minimal oversight.

  • The ability to go deep on technical subject matter, particularly AI and machine learning concepts, and explain it clearly to a range of audiences.

  • Direct experience partnering with product and engineering teams, and comfort working alongside PMs and engineers to shape product narratives.

  • Strong instincts for both commercial selling motions, and the versatility to speak to a range of buyers within each.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the judgment to adapt tone and depth to the audience.

  • A history of influencing peers, leaders, and roadmap direction without formal authority, and of raising the bar for those around you.

  • A self-starter mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment.

  • Bachelor's degree, minimum.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developer marketing or working directly with AI/ML practitioners.

  • Familiarity with on-device, edge, or distributed AI, including running and optimizing large models on local or consumer hardware.

  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment.

  • Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in AI, ML, vector search, cloud computing, or databases.

  • Proven track record in launching technical products and driving adoption in commercial and developer communities.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, and Sales teams.

  • 401(k) match (U.S.-based employees only)

  • $200/month Health & Wellness stipend
