Private Client Personal Lines Account Manager

Why This Role Matters
Bevel is a VC-backed, AI-native P&C insurance brokerage serving the high net worth personal lines market. We formed after the 2025 Palisades fires, where we discovered thousands of families were catastrophically underinsured.
We are redefining what it means to offer a personalized client insurance experience and building the highest-caliber team of insurance advisors anywhere on the planet. Our proprietary technology empowers our risk advisors to be 5-10x more productive and offers an unparalleled client experience.

At most agencies, service is a cost center and gets staffed accordingly. At Bevel it is the product. The incumbents are private-equity-backed shops squeezing margins and cutting service. We are the alternative, and we are hiring our first account manager cohort now.

The Role in Plain Terms
You own the day-to-day life of the book alongside a risk advisor: endorsements, renewals, remarketing, billing, and hands-on claims advocacy when a client has the worst day of their year. You are the person clients call first, and the person who knows their household well enough to catch what they forgot to mention. Our tooling supports and streamlines intake, coverage comparison, and renewal prep, allowing you to spend more time with clients and less in portals. For our first hires, we are looking for culture and tech shapers. You will service at a high level, but you will also have a meaningful role in deciding the tech we build and establishing what 'excellent' looks like for Bevel. We expect everyone here to do what is best for the client at all times, even if that means taking a few extra minutes to write a hand written note or send a happy birthday email.

Compensation
•  Base Salary: 60-100k+ USD
•  Ownership: Real equity from day one
•  Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, optional 401k
•  Additional comp: Opportunities for additional cash and equity true-ups based on performance

What Makes Bevel Different
•  Service is the product, not the back office: You are not a ticket queue behind a producer. You are half of the client relationship, paired directly with a risk advisor, and you are expected to advise, not just process
•  AI-native tooling built for HNW workflows: Coverage review automation, quote comparisons, renewal prep, proposal builders, automated quoting for carrier portals that are not in raters, and client self-service strip out the manual work that eats a service day, which is why our teams carry 2-3x the book a traditional producer-service pair can carry. As a first-cohort account manager, you will help shape the technology around what you need to serve clients at the highest level
•  Meaningful equity from day one: You will be one of our first service hires, and we want you to have real skin in the game
•  Founder-led culture: You will work directly with the founding team. No bureaucracy, no politics, no waiting for approval from a regional VP three time zones away. We have deep connections across the HNW carriers and a growing book of HNW and UHNW households

Ideal Background
•  3+ years of personal lines account management experience, HNW or private client strongly preferred
•  Comfortable across the HNW carrier panel: Chubb, PURE, AIG PCG, Cincinnati, Vault, Berkley One
•  Fluent in agency management systems and carrier portals, and quick to pick up a new tool
•  High-touch service instinct: you make the call, write the note, and follow up before anyone asks you to
•  Located in Austin or Houston and able to work in-office
•  Active Texas P&C license required or ability to get Texas P&C license
