We are currently seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality. This role involves analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, experience in process optimization, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Location: Austin, TX

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Develop, quote and deploy tools to facilitate manufacturing processes
  • Conduct process simulations and modeling to analyze performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to implement process changes and improvements.
  • Design and implement new processes or equipment to support production goals.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process failures or quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams on new processes or equipment.
  • Monitor process performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis
  • Experience with 3D printing equipment
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with process automation and control systems is desirable.
