The Role
 
As a Procurement Analyst you will support the purchasing process for a global IT department. You will play a crucial role in the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying, assessing and documenting suppliers. You should have knowledge of contract terms, AI functionality, data privacy guidelines, and understand risk management. Excellent communication as well as analytical and customer service skills are essential to being successful in this position.

What You'll Do

  • You will work directly with different business areas on renewals, new application purchases, vendor management and integrating contracts from acquired companies. Support day-to-day operational process within tracking applications, documenting use cases and features, highlighting overlap while building a concrete view of the current application use landscape. Track expenses and work with teams on reducing overspending by eliminating unused licenses, uncovering Shadow IT and offering alternative solutions. You will work closely with IT operations, legal, privacy and security teams
  • IT Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with IT leaders to understand their needs and priorities and ensure vendor services meet these requirements
  • Contract Negotiations: Participate as needed in contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and application gaps by tracking, upkeeping, and recommending changes to Veeva’s Supplier Management application. Ensure compliance with company policies and standards
  • Ensure all procurement activities are documented in accordance with ITGC and SOX compliance standards, facilitating seamless quarterly and annual audits
  • Maintain accurate vendor assessments within management applications
  • Perform regular audits to identify underutilized licenses and redundant applications, driving cost-avoidance strategies and contract consolidations
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilization of AI tools for vendor management documentation, streamlined processes, and reduced manual effort in tracking and researching applications utilized by Veeva
  • Service Governance & Reporting
  • Lead IT in documenting how and which teams use applications; document application function and potential risks
  • Facilitate performance reviews with IT leadership to address service gaps, assign actions, and monitor progress

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise/global organizations
  • 2+ years experience in selecting, procuring, and managing vendors
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience negotiating software and service contracts
  • Innovative thinking, strong prioritization, and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships and foster collaboration
  • Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, and pattern recognition
  • Familiarity with SOC2 Type II reporting and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience with operational excellence, continuous improvement, and eliminating waste

Nice to Have

  • Broad knowledge of SaaS applications that support a large global organization
  • Experience implementing processes and policies that meet or exceed global privacy laws

Compensation

  • Base pay: $70,000 - $100,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
