NMI is looking for a highly analytical and data-obsessed Product Data Analyst to help power decision-making across our acquiring operations and merchant lifecycle products. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and business intelligence — transforming large datasets into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, merchant growth, product adoption, and financial performance.

You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Operations, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Support teams to deliver analytics and reporting across NMI’s acquiring ecosystem, including ISO management, Merchant Central, ScanX, business capital solutions, and other operational extensions.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves diving deep into data, building scalable reporting frameworks, uncovering trends and anomalies, and translating complex operational metrics into clear business insights. Strong SQL skills and a passion for data visualization through Tableau are essential.

If you thrive in fast-paced fintech environments and enjoy solving complex operational and product problems through data, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Operational Analytics
  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of operational and product data to drive strategy, optimization, and growth across NMI’s acquiring platform and Merchant Central CRM
  • Partner closely with Product Managers supporting ISO operations, Merchant Central, ScanX, Business Capital lending, and additional acquiring extensions.
  • Build analytical frameworks that empower product and business teams to make data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct opportunity sizing, forecasting, trend analysis, and operational performance analysis to support strategic planning.
Dashboarding & Data Visualization
  • Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable visibility into KPIs, operational health, merchant performance, and product adoption.
  • Create executive-ready visualizations and narratives that clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop self-service reporting capabilities that enable teams to independently explore operational and product data.
Data Integrity & Operational Insights
  • Monitor data quality, transaction integrity, and operational reporting accuracy across the acquiring lifecycle.
  • Investigate anomalies, breakages, settlement discrepancies, reconciliation issues, and operational incidents proactively.
  • Analyze large transactional datasets to uncover trends, operational bottlenecks, growth opportunities, and merchant behavior insights.
  • Partner across teams to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, ACH reconciliation, settlement operations, and partner reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to define event tracking, instrumentation, and data collection standards.
  • Support business stakeholders across Product, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Support with timely insights and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Help establish KPI cadences and operational review processes across monthly, quarterly, and annual business rhythms.
  • Contribute to building a strong data discipline across product and operations teams through experimentation, measurement, and analytical rigor.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify inefficient operational workflows and opportunities for automation through data and reporting improvements.
  • Help streamline operational reporting and reduce manual analysis through scalable analytics solutions and tooling.
  • Support experimentation frameworks, A/B testing analysis, and operational performance measurement initiatives.

As well as being a part of something exciting everyday, you will also receive the following benefits:
  • Competitive salary + bonus
  • A remote first culture!
  • Flex PTO
  • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • 13 Paid Holidays
  • Company volunteer days
