About the role

We’re seeking a Product Designer to elevate and lead product design across Sanas’s growing ecosystem of speech AI applications. You’ll be responsible for driving design strategy, guiding and developing a small team of designers, and shaping intuitive, elegant, and scalable experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a designer who moves fluidly between strategic systems thinking and meticulous execution - someone who can bring clarity to complexity, translate research into actionable insight, and set a high bar for usability and visual craft. You’ll help define how the world experiences Sanas, ensuring our products feel cohesive, human, and distinctly ours.

What you'll do

Product Design Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end design process—from discovery and research to high-fidelity design, prototyping, and delivery—across both enterprise and consumer experiences.
  • Partner closely with product management and engineering to define product strategy, goals, and success metrics, ensuring design helps to shape decision-making.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into simple, human-centered experiences that drive clarity and connection.

Design Systems & Craft

  • Evolve the Sanas Design System and UI component library, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all platforms and products.
  • Maintain rigorous design quality standards, creating clear documentation, accessibility guidelines, and hand-off workflows that support engineering excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement of our design tools, practices, and workflows.

People & Process

  • Mentor and guide designers, providing feedback, fostering growth, and nurturing a culture of creativity, curiosity, and accountability.
  • Contribute to hiring and onboarding, helping build a high-performing, values-driven design team.
  • Promote an iterative, test-and-learn mindset across design, product, and engineering partners.

User Insight & Research

  • Lead or partner on user research, usability testing, and data analysis to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into design principles and solutions that improve usability and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for the voice of the user throughout the product lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to align on goals, requirements, and timelines.
  • Present design strategy and work at multiple levels of the organization—from teammates to executives—with confidence and clarity.
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to ensure product and brand expressions are unified, emotionally resonant, and globally inclusive.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product design with a strong focus on user-centered, data-informed design for digital products.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring designers, ideally within a high-growth tech environment.
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing process, systems thinking, and shipped product work that demonstrates usability, craft, and business impact.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, prototypes, and design system governance.
  • Proven ability to conduct or oversee research, synthesize insights, and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions clearly to executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools within the design process—from research synthesis and ideation to prototyping and testing—and a willingness to continuously explore new AI capabilities.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in voice/speech AI or audio-centric interfaces.
  • Skills in motion design, micro-interactions, or prototyping tools that enhance usability and delight.
  • A background in brand or marketing design, with a keen sense of how visual identity scales across product surfaces.
